Add Closed Captions to Your Videos with These Useful Tools
Closed captions might be used for more than simply providing subtitles. They can make videos accessible to those who don't speak the language of the original video because it's simpler to have a video translated if the primary text is already finished. Captions can also be used for the hard of hearing. Generating a closed caption file is simple and only requires a software that has the extension .srt or .vtt. There are many ways to create Captions for your videos. You can use a software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Magisto, SubtitleBee or even Youtube to create Captions for your videos
Adobe Premiere Pro:
1. Open your project in Adobe Premiere Pro and select the file you want to create Captions for.
2. Click on "Edit" at the top of the screen and then scroll down and click on " Closed Captions Display"
3. A new window will pop up. Click on "Enable"
4. Click on "File" and then "New" and then "Captions"
5. A new window will pop up. Click on the dropdown menu next to "Language" and select the language of your Captions
6. Click on "OK"
7. A new window will pop up. Click on the dropdown menu next to "Format" and select either "SRT" or "VTT"
8. Click on "OK"
9. The Closed Caption window will now be open. You can start typing in the text that you want to appear in your Captions.
10. To change the timing of when the Caption appears, you can click and drag the edges of the text box.
11. When you are finished, click on "File" at the top of the screen and then scroll down and click on "Export"
12. Click on "Captions"
13. A new window will pop up. Click on the dropdown menu next to "Format" and select either "SRT" or "VTT"
14. Click on "Export"
15. Choose where you want to save your Caption file and then click on "Save"
Magisto:
1. Open your project in Magisto and select the video you want to create Closed Captions for
2. Click on the "Edit" tab
3. Scroll down and click on the "Subtitles" option
4. A new window will pop up. Click on the "Enable" button
5. Click on the "Language" dropdown menu and select the language of your Captions
6. Click on the "Format" dropdown menu and select either "SRT" or "VTT"
7. Click on the "OK" button
8. The window will now be open. You can start typing in the text that you want to appear in your Closed Captions.
9. To change the timing of when the Caption appears, you can click and drag the edges of the text box.
10. When you are finished, click on the "File" tab

SubtitleBee - Closed Caption Generator:
1. Go to SubtitleBee.com and select the video you want to create Captions for
2. Click on the "Language" dropdown menu and select the language
3. Click on the "Generate" button
4. A new window will pop up. Click on the "Download" button
5. Your Closed Caption file will now be downloaded onto your computer
Youtube:
1. Open your project in Youtube and select the video you want to create Captions for
2. Click on the "CC" button at the bottom of the video
3. A new window will pop up. Click on the "Transcribe and auto-sync" button
4. Youtube will start transcribing your video. You can then edit the Captions by clicking on the "Edit Closed Captions" button.
5. A window will now be open where you can start typing in the text
6. To change the timing of when the Caption appears, you can click and drag the edges of the text box.
7. When you are finished, click on the "Save" button.
8. Now your video will have Closed Captions that you can turn on and off by clicking on the "CC" button.
