The simplest way to create podcast show notes
09/11/2022
Show notes should be part of your post-podcast production process. Free and open-source transcriptions can be easily generated using Auto Speech Recognition software. But if you want to get your hands dirty and create show notes the old-fashioned way, here's a helpful guide.

- 1. Decide what format you want your show notes to be in. Will they be a blog post? A document? Something else?
- 2. Choose what information you want to include in your show notes. A basic template could include the following:
- - Title of the episode
- - A brief description of what the episode is about
- - Links to any websites or articles mentioned in the episode
- - Any other relevant information (e.g. contact details, social media links)
- 3. Create a template for your show notes. This will make the process of creating show notes much easier and faster.
- 4. Transcribe your podcast episode. This can be done manually or you can use a tool like Auphonic's Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) to generate a transcription automatically.
- 5. Fill in your template with the relevant information from your transcript.
- 6. Proofread and edit your show notes.
- 7. Publish your show notes!
Creating podcast show notes doesn't have to be a tedious process. Use a free auto captioning tool to easily generate podcast show notes in multiple languages. Show notes make your podcast more accessible to a wider audience and can help you build a stronger connection with your listeners.
